2000 Discover TD5 Auto harsh vibration under power at 2000 -2500. At approx 2000 to 2500 RPM in any gear there is a harsh vibration through the car. Lift off and it goes away. Auto shifts smoothly, engine run well plenty of power. No warning lights on oil levels OK.

After 10 years with my old 2.5 td 110 I bought in 2003 a new td5 90. I am now at 80.000 km and no problems so far. But, checking the engine oil this time I noticed something strange: the level rises. I asked a few friends td5 owner and they told me this is due to fuel leakage in the engine oil.
Theres a sheet somewhere on the Internet about this issued by Land Rover. I had the same problem with mine, The windscreen was refitted 3 times and it still leaked! The sheet says to reseal the top of the window behind the window seal cover along the top. The plastic cover is just to look at and serves no purpose.
